Thank You

My family always gets the biggest thanks. Without them, I would not be here. I love you all.

This novel would not be possible without my Qualicum Beach people, Marva Blackmore and Lois Lawrence Kingshott (pen name: Maeve Lawrence). Marva with her mad editing skills, good advice, and emotional support when I thought everything was boring.

This novel would not be possible without my Qualicum Beach people, Marva Blackmore and Lois Lawrence Kingshott (pen name: Maeve Lawrence). Marva with her mad editing skills, good advice, and emotional support when I thought everything was boring. And Lois, a fellow author, for all her valuable input and positive insights. They have been my supportive crew of two who have been here since the beginning. Thank you, you’re both pretty awesome and  have been very patient with my big learning curves throughout this journey. The links to their books are below.

A special thanks to Maize, Samantha, Halliday, Marva, Lois, and Deb, for being my beta readers. This book has morphed into something beautiful with your insights, views and ideas. This is priceless and has made my book so much more than it ever could have been without you.

There have been many friends, teachers, writers and groups along my creative journey who have helped me with my craft.

Back in the day I’m thankful to my friends and fellow artists in Vancouver, British Columbia who supported my playwriting endeavors. There was a big collaborative effort through my company, Dreamgirl Productions, that was very memorable—the Vancouver and Victoria Fringe Festivals. The Bordello of Comedy was a big learning experience for me and fun to do.

Not that close, but not that far away Local Canadian author, Rachael Preston, taught writing classes in Parksville that I enrolled in. This was a big step in my evolution as a writer as it brought me back to my keyboard after a big hiatus. It was here that I created the short story that is the foundation for my romance novel. We also had a writing group for over a year that was helpful. Check out Rachael’s webpage https://www.rachaelpreston.com

Closer to today VIRA—Vancouver Island Romance Authors. This group is full of talented romance writers, many who are published. It is a supportive atmosphere to learn, write and share. There were many seminars offered by this group--often with successful, well-known authors. It was a very positive experience. I would highly recommend this group to budding romance authors on Vancouver Island and surrounding islands. Here is their Facebook Link. I suggest checking out all the authors on this page.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/viraromanceauthors

I am grateful for all my experiences as they have gotten me to where I am now. This whole project has been supported by many. Thank you.
